Konstantin Lebedev, mid-conversation in a client meeting

Konstantin Lebedev

Independent product & go-to-market consultant. I take founders and executive teams from the first customer interview to a written spec an engineering team can build from — and into market.

Profile

A senior product executive — most recently Chief Product Officer — with over fifteen years of leadership across product strategy, general management and new venture development in tech, electronics and B2C services. A track record of turning market insight into category-defining products, scaling operations and owning P&L outcomes.

Since September 2025 I've run an independent advisory practice. It combines deep product work with a founder's mindset and a decade of operational leadership, which is why the advice tends to arrive as something buildable rather than as a deck.

What I do

Discovery and specification

Problem validation, research, personas and jobs, information architecture, user scenarios, screen specs and a prioritised backlog. The document set a team can start building from on Monday.

Positioning and go-to-market

Who it's for, why they would switch, what to say, in which order and on which channel — then the launch plan, with the parts that won't work removed before you pay for them.

Running the whole external contour

Site, campaigns, funnels, content operations, partner materials. Built and operated rather than advised on. One person to ask, accountable for the result.

A second opinion

A few hours on one specific question: pricing, a launch plan, a spec you want stress-tested, a strategy you suspect is wrong. Usually the honest place to start.

Not sold as standalone services: performance marketing, design, development, social media management. I do all of it when I own the whole picture — taken separately you'd be paying a senior rate for work a specialist does better and cheaper.

Selected work

2025 — present · independent practice

Clients stay unnamed and their numbers unpublished — they're other people's companies. What follows is what didn't exist before and what does now.

  • Ran product marketing end to end for a cross-border private wealth advisory firm. Opened a net-new B2B partner channel — from zero to a working source of closed client mandates — took the brand into new international markets, built the landing-page system behind the funnel, and ghost-authored executive thought leadership placed in tier-one international business media under the client's byline.
  • Delivered the full discovery and specification package for a premium padel and fitness club venture launching a member-facing product: system model, UX specifications, user scenarios and a prioritised backlog, handed straight to engineering as the build brief.
  • Ran end-to-end product discovery for a pre-launch charitable giving platform. Output: a defined value proposition and launch scope, a prioritised delivery backlog, and the go-to-market plan the founders launched on.
  • Led discovery and backlog definition for a pre-launch consumer health-tracking app, turning competitive teardowns and behavioural research into a set of product principles and a specified component library.
  • Delivered go-to-market, positioning and product-pivot reviews for 20+ additional companies, each ending in a written recommendation on market entry or repositioning.

Rates

Hourly. I don't sell months or packages — you pay for hours, and the rate moves with how much of the thing I own.

$50
per hour
Consulting and second opinions. You decide, you execute.
$150
per hour
Full ownership. I decide, I execute, I answer for the result.

Only the two ends are fixed. Where a given engagement lands between them is set on the call.
